Welcome to the RISE (remote vs. in-person study evaluation) website. The overarching goal is to foster the dissemination of evidence regarding the strengths and weaknesses of remote (aka virtual or decentralized) trial methods. At the core of the RISE project are measures, procedures, and results from three harmonized randomized controlled trials evaluating the effect of remote vs. in-person participation on trial efficiency and rigor, as well as webinars and other resources. As a living repository and toolkit, the website will be expanded to catalog and disseminate additional evidence as it emerges and provide guidance on the relative pros and cons of remote, in-person, and hybrid trial approaches.

Track resources and results from three harmonized trials and
be linked with talks by scientists who are leading the way
forward for remote trial methods.
